Help India’s Poor
India is home to more than 1.2 billion people, with millions living below the international poverty line. Many communities face persistent challenges, including economic hardship and long-standing social inequalities shaped by the caste system.
Hands of Freedom is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing opportunity, equity, and sustainable development in underserved communities. Our mission is to empower individuals and families by providing access to resources, education, and skills that foster long-term stability and self-sufficiency. We envision a future where individuals are equipped to lead, serve, and create meaningful change within their own communities.
Through a holistic approach, Hands of Freedom designs and implements programs that address both immediate needs and long-term development. Our initiatives focus on financial literacy and savings programs, early childhood education, leadership development, vocational and business training, and access to clean water.
Community-based programs are central to our work. These local initiatives serve as hubs for education, support services, and economic development, helping to build leadership capacity and strengthen community networks. By investing in people at the local level, we support sustainable, community-led growth.
To date, Hands of Freedom has impacted thousands of individuals and families across India. Our leadership development program identifies and trains individuals with strong potential to guide local efforts, ensuring that programs are culturally relevant, locally led, and positioned for lasting impact.
We invite partners, supporters, and community members to join us in expanding access to opportunity and building stronger, more resilient communities
