Families at Risk
Current estimates reveal 40 to 44 million at-risk children living in India. Many of those go to sleep on the pavement each night, hungry and unprotected. The third-largest crime in India, after drugs and gun smuggling, is child trafficking. Each year, 30,000 children, mainly young girls, are forced into prostitution and sexual slavery. India is home to the largest population of working children in the world. Children are trapped struggling as child laborers, most working in hazardous and degrading conditions, for an average of 12 hours a day.
Holistic Outreach
The biggest challenge that India’s people face is extreme poverty. To help alleviate the challenges of physical poverty, Hands of Freedom has helped to launch multi-faceted kingdom solutions which we believe will help us rescue vulnerable families and help sustain them.
