High school sophomore earns $3,000 to fund a water well in India!
Over the course of two years, Minnesota high school sophomore Hannah Enck earned enough money to fund a fresh water well in an Indian village.

Minnesota high school sophomore Hannah Enck donated the $3,000 she earned working on a strawberry farm to Hands of Freedom to dig a fresh water well in an Indian village. Her inspiring story has been noted by several media channels across the Twin Cities!

Thanks to all who were able to attend the Hands & Hope for India Event! We enjoyed sharing stories of life transformation that have occurred on the ground in India, including new preschools, water wells, and participants in our savings program. How One Well Sponsor Made a Difference!
Mary and Luke Lewy recently sponsored a well through Hands of Freedom. Mary shared a little of their story… “My husband has a salsa garden. All of the garden’s ingredients are dedicated to the salsa he cans. If I want a tomato for a salad, I have to sneak it. He cans hundreds of jars each summer.

Nasima, a mother of four young children, is a member of the Hands of Freedom savings program. She was in a very challenging and desperate financial situation. Living in a slum, she had accepted that there was no hope and that poverty was her family’s destiny in life. Then, Nasima was introduced to the Hands of Freedom savings and mentoring program.

Jaya, one of the Hands of Freedom Saving Group members, is specialized in pickle-making. After being mentored and encouraged by Hands of Freedom, she decided to use her talents in order to start a pickle business.
