In a small village, Preeti (name changed) and her family face the realities of financial hardship. Her husband’s modest income from a small shop barely meets their daily needs, making life a constant challenge. Yet Preeti’s story is not just one of struggle, it is also one of resilience and transformation.
Preeti is a member of a Hands of Freedom women’s support and savings group. This group of ten women meets weekly to learn, encourage one another, and build financial stability through shared savings. Being part of this group has been a turning point for Preeti, helping her gain confidence, knowledge, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Through consistent saving, she has been able to stabilize her finances and enroll in Hands of Freedom’s Business Development training. There, she gained practical skills in livestock management and chose to begin a goat-rearing business to support her family.
With seed capital provided by Hands of Freedom, Preeti purchased her first goat, marking the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey.
Today, Preeti’s goat is thriving, a testament to her daily care and dedication. She is optimistic about the future, believing that this new venture will provide a stable source of income and improve her family’s financial situation.
