I think we all love new things and fresh starts, this year more so than other years given how the past year unfolded. As we begin 2021 there still seems to be uncertainty. One of the things that I have been meditating on is confidence in the Lord. When you look at all the stories of the Bible right from the Israelite journey to the promised land all the way through the New testament and the disciples journey one thing that you see as part of these journeys has been there have been obstacles and challenges along the way, but God has been faithful in walking with them and guiding them through the challenges.
Regardless of the uncertainty or the chaos around us one place we can look to with confidence for hope and guidance is God’s word. Jeremiah 15
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
8 They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
As we start the new year may our hope and confidence be in the unchanging Lord Jesus Christ.
We are excited to partner with you in 2021 to bring gospel driven solutions to the impoverished. Our churches are meeting again, the hope centers have reopened and our business groups are regathering. This will be a season of rebuilding and stabilizing for many of the families we serve. Most of them have lost most of the savings they had because of the pandemic. The challenge is big but our confidence is in the Lord and He is able!!
