Each year in India, 30,000 children mainly children and young girls are forced into prostitution and sexual slavery. India is also home to the largest number of working children in the world. Children are trapped struggling as child laborers, most working in hazardous and degrading conditions, for an average of 12 hours a day. These at-risk children need your help this Christmas season.

The pandemic has worsened the situation across India, where families were already struggling for existence. Food, water, clothing and shelter are all a challenge. Children are not in school, work is not easily available. Hope of change is slim to none and then a stranger they have never met arrives with a solution to get them out by offering work, income and sustainability.
When these children fall prey to brutal predators, they are kept locked or caged. Abuse, torture and rape are heaped on these precious lives. The children give up, yielding to their existence as a lifelong slave. Many never see their families again.
Hands of Freedom is saving lives
With your support, change is happening. Thanks to the blessings of Hands of Freedom volunteers and people like you:
- More than 500 children have begun their educational journey in our preschool, away from the hands of predators and on a new God-given destiny. Many of them are their family’s first generation to attend school.
- More than 3,000 children have been reached through our Hope Centers and Sunday school. Children in our Hope Centers are taught schoolwork, receive a meal, and learn about their value and worth. A Hope Center is a place where kids can be kids: learn, play games, and not be afraid of the many dangers they may encounter in their daily lives.
- Thirty three fresh water wells have been dug providing access to fresh water to more than 75,000 people. Access to clean water has greatly reduced water-borne diseases, freed women to engage in earning a livelihood and enabled children to attend school.
